The Rose Ball
04/06/2009 - By Chelsea Art Museum

The Rose Ball

The House of the Roses Volunteer Dance Company, is an all-volunteer organization that currently provides dance and performance instruction to more than 200 homeless and at-risk children in New York City.

Its annual gala, The Rose Ball, was held on April 6, 2009 at the Chelsea Art Museum - with more than 200 guests in attendance.

Invitees had the pleasure to enjoy musical sounds by DJ Eric Visa and a special dance performance by the children and teachers of the program who performed to Michael Jackson's, Thriller. Many young NY Philanthropist were in attendance to include Elizabeth Hamilton, Rose Adkins, Ames Brown, Becca Marcus, and Douglas Lipton.

The event raised enough funds needed to continue the initiatives of the organization, as well as to increase the level of support they offer to local shelters and community centers throughout the city. The party continued well into the night across the street at the celebrity hang-out, Mr. West.
