Carnegie Hall Notables Party

Carnegie Hall Notables Party

On Wednesday, June 2, Nicola Bulgari, Vice-Chairman of Bulgari and a Carnegie Hall Trustee, hosted the Sixth Annual Notable Occasion for the Carnegie Hall Notables—a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s.

The evening began with a recital in Carnegie Hall’s intimate Weill Recital Hall featuring violinists Owen Dalby and Yonah Zur, violist Brenton Caldwell, and cellist Saeunn Thorsteinsdottir. These talented young musicians are members of Ensemble ACJW, the performing arm of The Academy—a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. The Academy is a two-year fellowship program for the finest young professional musicians designed to develop the artistic values and skills necessary for careers that combine musical excellence with education, community engagement, advocacy, and leadership.

Because of the generous support from members of the Notables, Academy fellows like Owen, Yonah, Brenton, and Saeunn—who have performed all over the world and graduated from the world’s leading conservatories—are able to share their music with students in New York City Public Schools. As part of their fellowship, Owen teaches in Brooklyn at PS 112K, Yonah in Brooklyn at PS 108K, Brenton in Queens at PS 62, and Saeunn in Brooklyn at PS 28.
